Microgaming To Launch Android Poker App
Online software giants Microgaming have announced their intentions to launch a new real money poker application for the Android operating system that will be available on all sites on the Microgaming Poker Network in the year’s first quarter.
The new application will be made available on all Android v2.2 devices and will allow users to easily play poker on the move courtesy of an intuitive interface modelled on their existing Flash platform that will feature streamlined table selection.
Though a beta version has not yet been released to the media, Microgaming will be making a special demonstration of their new mobile software and allowing customers to test the poker app for themselves at the forthcoming ICE exhibition in London.
“For years now, industry experts have speculated on the mobile market’s possibilities for gaming, and every year has proven disappointing in terms of customer uptake and variety of software, particularly for poker; that is about to change,” explained Lydia Melton, head of poker at Microgaming.
“The technology is ready, the software is ready, and we believe the players are ready as well. The future is here. We are extremely excited about this release.”
