Klitschko ready to face Haye in summer showdown
Wladimir Klitschko insists he can fight both Dereck Chisora and David Haye in the space of two months.
IBF, IBO and WBO champion Klitschko is set to face British contender Chisora on 30 April and has confirmed that he would be happy to face both men in quick succession, stating: "I don't need a half a year to prepare for Haye.”
Haye is obliged to fight mandatory challenger Ruslan Chagaev in his next contest but could be granted an extension if he can agree a unification contest with Klitschko, although the Londoner isn’t convinced that the Ukrainian is up for the challenge.
"A bout with me is the most lucrative, meaningful and dangerous fight Wladimir's ever had, not some throwaway tune-up,” he said. "Wladimir won't fight anybody nine weeks after Chisora, let alone me."
Haye has previously indicated that he will retire when he turns 31 in October, although Klitschko has cast doubt over the claim, stating that Haye is a liar who has yet to achieve anything in the heavyweight division.
Boylesports make Klitschko the 4/9 favourite to beat Haye should the bout happen, with Haye offered at 7/4. A draw is priced at 25/1.
