Charity poker offers WSOP Main Event entry
A charity poker event is giving players the opportunity to qualify for the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event for just $55.
That’s the price to buy in to a Miriam Foundation Montreal Open online qualifier at Full Tilt – held twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays – with successful entrants going on to play in the tournament proper in March. The early rounds of the competition will take place at the Windsor Hotel in Montreal, with the top 30 players progressing to a televised stage in Las Vegas. Over $250,000 worth of prizes are on offer, including a seat at this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event. Satellites to the qualifiers start from as little as $3.30.
All of the money raised by the Miriam Foundation event will go to the charity of the same name, an organisation which offers support to children and adults with autism or intellectual disabilities.
