Ana Marquez holds the top spot at the close of Day 4 of the PCA

13/1/2011
At the beginning of day 4 there were 48 players present, only 2 of them women so the odds were beaten when Ana Marquez came out of nowhere and grasped the top spot with 3,805,000 chips.

Second spot was taken by Chris Moneymaker, who has been relatively quiet in the poker world since winning the WSOP Main Event, finished the day with 3,765,000 chips.

If Marquez wins she would be the first woman to ever win this tournament which is a great achievement although there is the matter of the actual prize which is a hefty $2.3 million.

Marquez got on top by winning a 2.5 million pot against Philippe Plouffe with set over set.

Others still in the tournament consist of Mike Sowers with 3,180,000 chips, Sam Stein with 3,085,000 chips and many more.

At the end of the day just 22 players remained which didn`t take a long time to get to, in just six hours there 24 left and the rest followed onwards.

Of course there were some well known players that ended up out of the tournament such as day 2 chip leader Adam Geyer and Eric Froehlich.

Play will resume tomorrow at noon EST and it won`t end until the final table of eight had been left so it`s not long to go until the all important winner is crowned.
