Tony G Nominated For European Poker Award
PartyPoker.com ambassador and firm fan favourite Tony G has been shortlisted for Poker Personality of 2010 at the 10th Annual European Poker Awards, it was announced earlier this week.
The popular trash talker will compete alongside voice of poker Jesse May and Big Deal author Anthony Holden for the Rob Gardner Memorial Award for Poker Personality of 2010 in February.
The ceremony will take place in Paris next month and will also see a number of other awards handed out, with Liv Boeree and Annette Obrestad contesting Europe’s Leading Lady among many others.
James Bord, Jake Cody, November Niner Filippo Candio, Liv Boeree, Tobias Reinkemeier and David Vamplew will all be in contention for Outstanding Tournament Performance, while other winners will be decided for Rookie of the Year, Player of the Year, Internet Player of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards.
Despite all of the big names up for an award, it will be the talkative Tony G who will garner the most attention at this year’s awards – and here’s hoping that the Lithuanian will have the heart and commitment to scoop a well deserved European accolade.
