Champions League and Europa League betting odds

17/12/2010
With the Champions League and Europa League draws announced earlier today bookies are now taking bets as to which sides will make it through to next rounds.

Many British sides are involved with some teams having easier draws than others. The pick of the matches are Arsenal v Barcelona and Tottenham taking on AC Milan. Manchester United face Marseille and Chelsea will travel to FC Copenhagen for their first tie.

Other ties include a rematch of last years final as holders Inter Milan take on Bayern Munich, Lyon face a tough task if they are to progress as Real Madrid stand in their way, Roma will look to get past Shakhtar Donetsk and Valencia face Schalke.

In Europe’s second competition Liverpool take on Sparta Prague, Rangers will face Sporting Lisbon and Manchester City were drawn against Greek side Aris Salonik. Other matches include Napoli v Villarreal, Lille v PSV and Young Boys take on former winners Zenit St Petersburg.

Manchester City are still favourites to walk away with the Europa League title at 4/1.

Bet365 has AC Milan as favourites with 4/5 odds to beat Spurs, 3/1 for Spurs to take the victory and 5/2 on a draw. Barcelona are on at 10/11 to defeat Arsenal, a draw is 23/10 and an Arsenal victory is priced at 11/4.

Chelsea are overwhelming favourites to overcome Copenhagen with odds stacked in their favourite at 1/2, 14/5 for a draw and 5/1 for a loss. Inter Milan are priced at 1/1 to beat Bayern Munich, Real Madrid are firm favourites at 10/11 to beat Lyon, odds of 5/6 see a Roma victory with Valencia to beat Schalke is at 8/11.
