Carlos Tevez insists on Man City departure
Carlos Tevez has reiterated his desire to leave Manchester City after the club rejected his initial transfer request. The Argentinean handed in the unsuccessful written request on Sunday, citing personal issues as the reason behind his intended departure. He has since made further comment, stating that his relationships with "certain executives" at the club have "broken down beyond repair".
“It is something I have felt for some time and have spent many hours thinking this through,” said the 26-year-old, adding: "I hugely resent suggestions that I have been unduly influenced by others. I wanted to leave in the summer, but was convinced to return. Sadly, my feelings have not changed.”
Tevez joined City from rivals Manchester United 17 months ago and has become a popular figure at Eastlands, scoring 10 league goals this season alone. Victor Chandler are offering odds of 9/4 that his next club will be South American, with Real Madrid priced at 5/2 and Barcelona and Chelsea both offered at 13/2.
