Online gambling site breaks new ground in Argentina.
The online gambling site, Victor Chandler, which has a turnover of over $2 billion a year, has gained a historical landmark with a move to Argentina. Victor Chandler has become the first international bookmaker to be granted and begin operating with a betting and gambling licence in the South American country. This move is in combination with a growth that has seen the company serve customers in approximately 160 countries.
Alongside the traditional sports betting (vcapuestas.com.ar), the group will also be launching their rapidly expanding poker (vcpoker.com.ar), casino (vccasino.com.ar), and games (vcjuegos.com.ar) websites in Argentina.
‘The move into the Argentinean market is a significant development of our global strategy, said the company. ‘There are already strong gaming links in Argentina with existing lotteries, horse racing, and the nation's love of football in particular marking it out as a great sporting nation. We are delighted to be the first major bookmaker to obtain a legal licence in Argentina and believe the core values of trust, honour and integrity which are the hallmarks of the Victor Chandler name will be recognised and appreciated by the Argentinean people.’
Victor Chandler CEO Michael Carlton commented, ‘This is another significant and exiting opportunity in the expansion of the Victor Chandler group during its 60th anniversary year. Our team have worked hard with the Province of Misiones for some time, and we believe we have found the ideal partner in IPLyC (the official licensing authority). We look forward to a very successful future in this, our first licence in South America.’
