Matt Cardle still X-Factor favourite despite illness
After months and months of auditions and live shows, the X-Factor winner will be revealed at the end of this weekend, in a four-horse race to the finish.
This is the first time four contestants have been in the final, but it has been the hardest year to call who will walk away with the coveted recording contract.
Although it is anyone’s game, Matt Cardle still remains the bookies favourite, despite giving what was described by Simon Cowell as his worst performance on Saturday night. Even though he was told by doctors and his mentor Dannii Minogue to nurse his throat and not sing due to being ill all week, he was adamant to not miss the semi-final after coming so far.
Skybet have Cardle as the firm favourite at 10/11, with the Cheryl Cole-mentored Rebecca Ferguson some way behind at 10/3. Simon Cowell’s boyband One Direction are also in with a chance at 9/4. Cher Lloyd is a rank outsider at 33/1.
This weekend promises to be one of the closest X-Factor finals on record, and with only a matter of days before the winner is crowned, it’s time to place those bets and hope the act you backed makes it all the way.
