Amateur players make final table.

29/11/2006’s $500,000 Poker Shoot-Out has had its final table filled by six amateur poker players who beat thousands of online competitors. Each will represent their countries and card rooms on December 1st, in London. This is the largest prize has awarded since it's inception in 1999, and it should prove to be a huge draw.

The players at the Poker Shoot-Outs final table come in all shapes and size with their ages ranging from 23 to 69 years old, and some even hail from as far a field as El Salvador. There will be two players representing Finland, one playing for the UK and two from Canada. All six players qualified through an on-line satellite tournament. As a ‘Freeroll’ tournament that required no entry fee.

As well as bragging rights for their country and the title ‘International Man of Action,’ the first place winner will take home $200,000 with the runners up sharing in another $170,000. This potentially life changing event could set any of these players up for the good life, which they will get when the tournament starts in the UK. is putting these players up in central London, and ushering them around in luxury limos.

This will be their first high stakes live games and there will be the added pressure of playing in front of the TV cameras.
