Online Poker Giant PokerStars buys Cecure Gaming
The largest online poker site, Pokerstars may soon be coming to your mobile. The leading poker site recently bought the mobile gaming software development firm Cecure Gaming from Cavendish Corporate Finance for an undisclosed fee.
Cavendish was established in 2000 to develop and operate the ‘best and most secure mobile poker gaming technology in the world’.
Earlier this year Cavendish was placed into administration as a result of ‘weak customer recruitment strategy in the difficult prevailing economic climate.’ “We are delighted to have been able to secure a deal for the sale of these assets in such a secretive and clandestine market,” said Paul Herman from Cavendish Corporate Finance.
The deal puts PokerStars in the position to become the first major poker website to go mobile although no official announcement has yet been made.
