Stoke City v Manchester United Betting
Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad make the trip to the Britannia Stadium this Saturday for the 3pm GMT kick off against table middle weights Stoke City.
Despite the quality and success of Manchester United have had against Stoke they don’t have a great record against Tony Pulis’ team having won 32 times of the 89 meetings to Stokes 26 victories. Ben Foster returns to goal for United despite a catalogue of errors during the dramatic 4-3 over Manchester City and being dropped for the Carling Cup midweek against Wolves.
Bets on United possible conceding a goal during the game wouldn’t be too far off but it looks as though Stoke will be forced to play one up front as James Beattie and Ricardo Fuller look doubtful through injury.
Wayne Rooney is looking to be a good bet on first goalscorer or at any time in the match. He has scored 6 goals in his six league matches and seems back on form in front of goal. Both Darren Fletcher and Michael Owen have also been playing good football recently but Owen is unlikely to start the game but will probably make a sub appearance.
