Online Gambling Health Care Bill Trashed
Only yesterday was there news of Ron Wyden’s bill proposal to use the money that the US government would make from regulating and taxing online gambling to fund Barack Obama’s health reform, but two the idea has been scrapped.
According to reports the reason for the drop of what seemed like a really good idea for the use of tax money made from online gambling is that with the controversy the health care reform has bought to the government already introducing gambling to the equation would be too much.
Barney Frank, who has been lobbying since day one in ‘gambling’s corner’, has said “It’s a great idea, why should we leave all that money untaxed?”
It would seem so far that despite all the efforts of Barney Frank and the Poker Players Alliance to legalize gambling again the states every suggested bill has to involve some kind of financial gain for the government.
