Rafa Benitez sacking odds slashed after Liverpool crushed 3-1 by Aston Villa
The odds on Rafa Benitez making it to the end of the 09/10 season have been slashed by bookies today after Liverpool were crushed by Aston Villa 3-1 in the Premier League last night.
Another poor display from Liverpool which saw Steven Gerrard give away a malicious penalty to end the match at 3-1 to Villa.
After the game Benitez passed the blame on to his star players which could now see a rift form between the manager and his squad.
With the shaky start Liverpool has had to the season his position is already reportedly on thin-ice but Benitez has repeatedly pledged his allegiance to the club and wants to stay at Anfield.
Saturday sees Liverpool travel to Bolton in which should be an easy win for Benitez but with their current form and mental pressures could just see another upset occur. Liverpool are seen as one of the biggest under-achievers in the Premier league despite their success in European competition the team has struggled to make their mark on the league in recent years.
