London Poker Circuit Annouces Weekend of Action

17/8/2009
The London Poker Circuit, originally set up as a high rollers’ series in the capital, has seen buy-ins dropped in recent weeks to cope with the recession, and the outfit, sponsored by 888.com, has announced details of its latest bash this weekend.

A taster event taking place on Friday night (14th August) sees a £50+£10 freezeout taking place at the Kingsway Hall Hotel in Covent Garden, just one of the many 5-star venues playing host to the Series. Organisers are expecting 80-100 runners, and there is an optional £5 add-on at the start of the tournament for an extra 5,000 chips.

The Main Event kicks off on Saturday at 2pm with the £750+£75 buy-in event. Due to Poker in the Park taking place at the same time, many big names are expected to attend, including 2006 WSOP champion Jamie Gold, cricketer Shane Warne, and Hendon Mobster Ross Boatman, who did so well in the previous LPC main event.
