Accrington Stanley defender Peter Cavanagh hit with lengthy ban
Cavanagh has been banned from playing football for eight months and fined a total of £3,500 for betting on their game against Bury.
The decision has come from the FA’s regulatory commission which take place immediately.
Peter Cavanagh was the clubs captain and well respected within team. The news comes after 4 Accrington players and a Bury player; James Harris, David Mannix, Robert Williams and Andrew Mangan were all found guilty of the same chanrge earlier this year.
