New poker show “Inside Deal” on ESPN website tonight
A brand new, web only, poker show is set to make its first appearance on monitors this evening, Tuesday 4th August. Winner of the 2003 WSOP, Chris Moneymaker is set to be the first guest host the show that will see poker fans putting their questions to the guests via email and social networking sites.
The show is to be sponsored by PokerStars and will cover all the latest news, interviews and follow tournaments around the world.
The show is only scheduled to be a web-only broadcast with no official consideration expressed that it will be coming to TV sets via the ESPN cable channel but if the web show is a great success then there is no reason that it wouldn’t fit into the channels primetime scheduling. There is definitely and audience for poker on the TV.
Host, Bernard Lee, is a successful poker player in his own right reaching 13th in the 2005 WSOP winning $400,000 and a number of other high placed, big cash achievements. ESPN magazine columnist Laura Lane will co-host.
