A Touch of Hollywood for World Poker Tour
The beauty of the World Poker Tour is the addition of new stops that showcase the best live poker venues that America has to offer.
Now, with the addition to Season VIII of the WPT of the Hollywood Poker Open next March, the stunning poker room at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceberg, Indiana, will be presented to the poker world. The penultimate stop of the 2009-2010 tour, running from 20th-24th March, 2010, carries a $10,000 buy-in, and will replace the traditional Foxwoods Poker Classic and give the Hollywood Casino the chance to play host to an all-new ranking tour event. If turnouts at last year’s tour are anything to go by, the Hollywood Poker Open promises to be a cracker.
As well as the WPT stop next year, the casino is offering a plethora of top-notch poker action. The proceedings kick off from August 3rd to 19th with the INDIANA STATE POKER CHAMPIONSHIP, with 14 events spread over 16 days. The Hollywood Fall Classic runs in November before the WPT and the stars come to town in March for the Open.
