Online poker giant PokerStars Announces Czech-Slovak Tour Date
With the inaugural event of the PokerStars Czech-Slovak Poker Tour turning out to be a rip-roaring success, the online poker giants have now announced the dates for three further stops this year.
Following the CZK 13,000 buy-in event at the Card Casino Prague last month, in which Lukas Horak maintained his final-table chip lead to capture the tour’s debut title against Martin Pecha, the CSPT will now head over to Ostrava and Brno in the Czech Republic before winding up in Slovakia at Bratislava’s Golden Vegas casino.
With the tour proper finishing in December, a live leaderboard final will conclude the first season of the CSPT at the beginning of the New Year. On January 9, the top 32 players on the tour’s leaderboard after all four legs have been completed will battle it out for a whopping CZK 500,000 prize pool and the title of leaderboard champion.
The CSPT is PokerStars’ latest venture into poker outside of the US, with the world’s largest poker site also sponsoring the European Poker Tour, Asia-Pacific Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour and the Russian, Italian and Australia New Zealand tours. It’s marquee event, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, remains the only Western Hemisphere event to be held on the EPT and is one of the most popular destinations on the live poker calendar.
