900 people rally to expand Kentucky Gambling
People in Kentucky have taken to the streets after state senators denied a bill to expand legal gambling bill to include slot machines at horse tracks.
The bill had already been passed by the House last Friday but when it came in front of the Senate on Monday it was ruled out.
Democrat Steven Beshear said that the only way to get the bill through Senate would be to persuade the Republicans to support or to force a change of the senators. This statement came at the rally in which more than 900 people attended.
Beshear believe the bill would have been passed if it had reached the Senate floor for votes which the Republicans, namely Senate President David Williams, said would not be allowed to happen.
