Online Casino Acquisitions In The Spotlight.
April seems to have kicked off with a string of online casino acquisitions, two of the largest Microgaming groups have managed to acquire a well-established online casino each. These can only be seen as very positive moves for both companies, and along with these activities, expert analysts within the industry are all predicting a lot of corporate activity for the rest of the year.
The said Microgaming groups that are involved with the acquisitions are: Casino Profitshare, Ad Riches and Casino Rewards.
First Casino Profitshare have purchased Nostalgia Online Casino from the Adriches group, which would seem like a logical progression for them as they have been managing the casino since late last year. Casino Profitshare also operate some of the most well run online casinos like Music Hall Casino and Golden Reef Casino.
The other casino group is Casino Rewards, which have purchased Phoenician Online Casino, this online casino was also sold to them by the group Adriches. Casino Rewards, itself the Microgaming operator with the most brands (including Blackjack Ballroom and Golden Tiger casinos.)
But the most surprising of the three has to be the move of Casino Profitshare, having sold the Aztec Riches Online casino and Online Pokerroom to the Casino Rewards Group. These new procurements will now bring the total number of online casinos for the Rewards Group up to 12 along with four online pokerrooms, this is after the purchase of the Captain Cooks Online Casino brands, which happened earlier in the year.
Everyone seems surprised with the Aztec Riches move, as it was seen as one of the most steadily performing Online Casino for a long time, that uses Microgaming software.
So when it come to these kinds of deals we can only guess rationale behind all of these deals but we'll never really know.
