Kaka seals win for Brazil over Egypt in Confederations Cup
A last minute penalty kick from Kaka saved Brazil an embarrassing exit from the Confederations Cup today.
Egypt, massive underdogs to football giants Brazil, were two goals behind at the break and Dunga’s side looked as though it would be an easy match to wrap up in the 2nd half.
Soon after the 2nd half began two quick goals from Zidan and Shawky saw the sides draw level with two impressive strikes. From then on both sides had plenty of chances to end the game but it took the added minute of extra time for Egypt to become un-stuck. A shot from Alexandre Pato was handled off the line by Al Muhamadi in which he received a red card for his efforts.
The penalty came down to prolific goal scorer, Kaka, who calmly placed the ball in the bottom of the net to put Brazil off to winning start in their campaign to defend their Confederations Cup crown.
