WSOP Commissioner takes a pop at Celebrity Apprentice row
A representative of the World Series of Poker announced what he thought of the poker celebrity, Annie Duke’s presence on the reality TV show "Celebrity Apprentice". He thinks she is good for poker even with the insults aimed at Duke and the vocation from Joan Rivers.
The commissioner Jeffrey Pollack said,” We would love to see a woman win the main event... unless that woman happens to be Joan Rivers,” after a reporter asked if a woman could win the WSOP no-limit Texas Hold 'em main event.
Joan Rivers hit out with the insults after her daughter Melissa was fired by Donald Trump on the reality TV show, she targeted two of the shows stars, the poker champ (Annie Duke) and the Playboy pin up (Brande Roderick).
Melissa called the pair “Whore Pit Vipers”, and then Joan lashed out on the NBC show, calling Brande a “Stupid Blonde” and Annie was “White Trash” poker player. She also named the duo "a Nazi and a follower."
