Alex Ferguson bans Federico Macheda from Manchester Casinos
Manchester United’s new Italian hero Federico Macheda is unable to join his team mates in two of their most popular Manchester haunts, on strict orders to stay away from boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 17 year-old, who has scored winning goals in his first two appearances for the club this month, tried to join the exclusive Manchester casinos, 235 and The Circle Club, however, after Ferguson had already forewarned the casinos that Macheda might pop in he was told, "Sorry, you're too young - Fergie's already warned us."
A Man Utd source said last night: "Fergie had someone call both clubs on his behalf and remind them that Federico is still under-age and should not be allowed in."
Macheda has so far impressed during his appearances for he club, after scoring the vital winning goals against both Aston Villa and, just six days later, scoring the winner against Sunderland a mere minute after getting on the pitch, aiding the Reds defense of the Premier League. Frederico, who doesn’t turn 18 until August 22nd, has told friends that he is gutted to not be able to party at the members’ online clubs, but understands that his manager has his best interests at heart.
Manchester United face Arsenal tonight in the Champions League at Old Trafford.
