WSOP Stars set to join team Pokerstars Pro
They spent the longest-ever dinner break in poker waiting for the chance to go head-to-head and finally decided the 2008 World Series of Poker between them, but now, young poker pros Peter Eastgate and Ivan Demidov have become stable buddies at Team PokerStars Pro.
Dane Eastgate became the youngest ever WSOP main event champion in November last year, earning over $9 million. Russian Demidov bagged himself over $5 million for is 2nd place effort. Now the pair will join the likes of Daniel Negreanu and previous WSOP champions Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker and Joe Hachem on the Pro Team.
Team PokerStars Pro, Daniel Negreanu commented on the two final tablists at the WSOP event; “I’ve played against Ivan at the WSOPE and also watched them both closely throughout the WSOP final table – both players represent the young new rising poker talent emerging in Europe and they’re a great addition to the team.”
Eastgate will be playing online under the moniker ‘PeteEastgate’ and Demidov under the equally original ‘Ivan Demidov’. Online players will be able to take on the pair and all the other Team PokerStars Pros over at pokerstars.com
