Rules of EngagementWhile the whole online gaming world goes poker mad, CryptoLogic bucks the trend and folds the game entirely so they can exclusively suit up for casino. A bold move, but with some stunning new games just released, it’s proving to be the right move.
Last year was a year like no other in the online gaming world, and CryptoLogic, the online-gaming software giant, was right in the thick of every seismic shift that took place. There were several milestones reached that helped shape and strengthen the brand, but one strategic move in particular, back in November, is streamlining the company in a whole new way.
An agreement with Boss Media, arguably one of CryptoLogic’s main competitors, basically outlines that CryptoLogic would relinquish all of their poker to Boss so they can focus entirely on casino—arguably what they do best.
The agreement parallels Crypto’s growth model to save where they can, and they estimate that with this partnership, they’ll be able to save at least $12 million to $15 million per year—or spend it elsewhere. And when the economy is in the state it’s in, every penny counts. “CryptoLogic’s aggressive action on its new strategy is a major step in our journey back to growth, profitability and returning shareholder value,” said Brian Hadfield, CryptoLogic’s president and CEO. “This partnership provides our poker customers with access to one of the largest poker networks in the world, while helping CryptoLogic substantially reduce costs.”
And if Crypto’s latest game releases are any indication, we’re in for some mind-bending releases in the near future based on the recent releases of Spiderman Revelations and Dragon Sword.
Join the timeless Spiderman as he clashes with Doctor Octopus in this captivating new 25-line slot where you can win up to 5,000 times your bet. There’s also a three-level jackpot and a bonus round. But if superheroes aren’t your bag, then with Dragon Sword, you can follow a heroic knight into a chilling forest in quest of his lost sword. You can spar with a grizzly dragon in the bonus round to find it and win hidden treasure. Again, you can play up to 25 lines and bet up to 20.00 per line for your chance to win up to 6,000 times your bet.
And if neither one really jumps off the screen for you, rest assured Crypto have something to get your gaming going.
