Gtech Signs Deal with Aerosmith

Owners of software developer Boss Media, Gtech Corporation, is moving into the lottery sector with their recent deal. Gtech has announced an agreement with the rock band Aerosmith. This gives the company exclusive rights to use the Aerosmith brand for a lottery business.

Aerosmith are an international rock band and brand with a very similar fan base to lottery players, 60% male and 40% females in the 25-54 age group.

Gtech has plans to develop new lottery games that will include cash prizes, exclusive Aerosmith merchandise and VIP Access passes to the band’s upcoming tour as well as many other exclusive prices.

Ross Dalton, Gtech’s Senior Vice President said, “Knowing that Aerosmith’s music has a huge multi-generational demographic fan base, we are confident that the brand, the music, and the value-added merchandise, and experiential prizes will provide our customer an opportunity to drive revenue with innovative and fun lottery games. With the band set to release a new album and go back on tour, this year represents a unique opportunity for our lottery customers worldwide to take advantage of this mega brand.”

Aerosmith have sold over 150 million albums throughout their career and won a whole host of top music award including American Music Awards, Grammies and MTV Music Awards. As well as this in 2000 they were also added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They’ve had several hits including Walk This Way and Love in an Elevator.

Most recently their music has been used in the extremely popular game Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. As a result of the games worldwide success the band are scheduled to release a new album and tour in 2009.

So it only remains a matter of time before we can see an Aerosmith branded online gambling slot from Boss Media.
