It’s the poker team that every online poker player wants to be a part of and after much searching the great Doyle Brunson has just unveiled his latest sharpshooter. David “Doc” Sands is well known to the online poker community having crushed the game, accumulating over $2 million since taking up the game a few years ago. As well as an impressive bank balance, Sands also holds the record for the number of Sunday Major wins online, something that many young guns aspire to beat. His domination of the online game is certainly worthy of a place in Doyle Brunson’s squad of poker hotshots, but Sands is also keen to prove himself in the life arena. Already he has had some strong results, in particular his 8th place finish in the $1500 event at the recent WSOP. Overall Sands cashed 4 times at this year’s Series for just over $100,000 taking his total live earnings to an impressive $225,269.

Such achievements have ultimately caught the eye of Doyle and his team and now Sands becomes the eighth member of the Brunson 10 alongside the team’s other recent recruit, Dan “djk123” Kelly. With two more spots to fill it’s now a race to see which young guns will make it into the line-up and play under the banner of arguably the best poker player in the world.
