Roy Hodgson and Liverpool to Face Rabotnicki in Europa Tie

Roy Hodgson’s first test as Liverpool manager will be against Rabotnicki, after the Macedonian side came through their second round qualifier against Armenia’s Mika. Unlike their flamboyant pop star namesake, Mika, showed little flair throughout the game and couldn’t find a way to overturn the 1-0 deficit from the first leg. The success of many British teams was unfortunately not matched by the Azerbaijani side, FC Baku. Despite winning through their second round match they were handed a 3-0 defeat by UEFA for field ineligible players. FC Baku would have progressed were it not for the infringement, a decision they will surely now be regretting.
