Best Freerolls: PartyPoker
Warren Lush, Head of Consumer Public Relations, PartyGaming
What sets PartyPoker apart from the competition?
We are very customer-centric – we try harder than anyone else to give our customers what they want and we really care what they think of our offering. We think that this is evident in our range of bonuses and promotions and the continued enhancement of our product.
What has been the company’s biggest breakthrough in 2009?
We believe that PartyPoker has introduced the best loyalty programme around. The new scheme caters for all levels of players and is simple to understand and to follow, but perhaps more importantly than that, offers exciting rewards of genuine substance to loyal customers.
What has been the biggest hurdle you’ve had to overcome?
The unlevel playing field in America is the main challenge that we’ve had to face and will continue to face into the new year. Currently, US-facing sites are able to gain liquidity and additional marketing dollars from sources that are not open to public companies such as ourselves. As things stand with the current legislation, this puts us at a considerable disadvantage.
As much as you can disclose, what milestones are you striving for in 2010?
Without wishing to give anything much away about our future plans, you can be sure that there will be further advancements to the product over the coming year and many big and exciting promotions are still to come at PartyPoker.
Having finished runner-up in this category last year, how has your selection of freerolls expanded in 2009?
We have increased both the number and variety of freerolls, meaning that we now offer many more tournaments in a range of different disciplines. We have also introduced points-based tournaments and more sub-qualifiers for our larger events, as well as offering tournaments that are completely free to enter.
