Titan AWARDS VERIFICATION

What was the biggest breakthrough at Titan in 2008?
First of all, I’d like to thank GOM for the recognition and exclusive award which will be kept in a distinguished position in our awards cabinet. The most notable breakthrough for Titan Poker was at the beginning of the year when prominent industry watchdogs highlighted the stable growth of the iPoker Network, crediting it as the largest non-US-poker network. Titan consistently stands at the forefront of iPoker as its largest poker room, so when iPoker receives rankings this high, we know we must be doing something right.

What was the biggest hurdle to overcome?
Growing pains. Our operations and online support have grown exponentially and it’s a constant challenge to maintain quality alongside quantity.

As much as you can disclose, what milestones are you striving for in 2009?
With award-winning casino products in our arsenal, we literally spent months dissecting the best features in order to develop Titan Casino, and were launching it during Q1 of 2009. The first milestone will be to quickly establish this great product as part of the extended Titan brand. As for Titan Poker, we are currently upgrading the VIP program, and based on consumer feedback we expect to see a significant increase in player lifetime expectancy. At a macro level, Playtech have set their standards high by focusing on software advancements to provide an even better user experience. 2009 is set to be an exciting year for Titan.

What sets Titan apart from its competition?
In our branding of Titan Poker, we paid a lot of attention to market positioning. Looking at the sheer volume of players that we have online at any given time, this approach has certainly paid off. Realistic tournaments, intuitive software and excellent 24/7 customer support in 12 languages makes Titan accessible to anyone at any level. New players can enjoy a first-time online poker experience in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, not to mention an outstanding welcome bonus, which is a strong incentive in itself. Intermediate players can alleviate dead time with a myriad of different tournaments, and what is really impressive is that we are just about at the $20 million mark in monthly guaranteed tournaments. (I remember not too long ago when it was only $2 million!) With such a mass amount of players choosing to play at Titan and contributing to our widespread and stable growth, the proof is in the pudding.

Professional players don’t get missed out either. The new VIP program caters to the pros with great comps and exciting high-stakes tournaments, such as the Monthly $2.5 Million Tournament.

We can’t take all the credit for achieving this fantastic award, though. This industry has produced a very large number of players that have enabled us to grow. Building a sizable workforce and maintaining quality has not been a simple task, and I am often reminded that it’s easy to find five directors…but try finding a good cleaning lady! By carefully selecting dedicated and high-calibre employees, we continually strive to provide the best service possible.
