Play65 raised the bar for 2008, improving on their silver award from last year. As the undeniable winner of Top Skills Games, the renowned online backgammon operator, which hosts real-time backgammon games and tournaments offering unparalleled action in 18 languages, were ecstatic to reach the top and were all too willing to make the trip from Israel to London to celebrate at the GOM Readers’ Choice Awards party. Here’s what Daniel Mester, co-founder of Play65 had to say.
What have been the biggest breakthroughs at Play65 over the past year?
2008 has been a very important and challenging year for InterLogic. The company has achieved new heights of over 20,000 online players. We invested significant efforts in making our platform externally more accessible, allowing other operators to join Play65, the biggest backgammon platform in the world. In addition, we have recently launched our new PlayE4 Blitz Chess platform with advanced anti-bot system.
What has been the biggest hurdle to overcome?
The biggest challenge of the past year was dealing with exchange-rate fluctuations considering that our platform is played in different currencies and in more than 100 countries.
As much as you can disclose, what milestones are you striving for in 2009?
For 2009, we have a number of things in mind. Penetrating into new markets has been significantly important and we will continue to broaden our customer base geographically. Integrating our products with other platforms and expanding into new media channels are of key importance for us during this year.
What sets Play65 apart from its competition?
Dedication to our customers and products. We are by far the biggest backgammon platform on the market with the biggest online community. We have a wide range of tournaments with high prizes and make significant efforts in promoting games offline, sponsoring land-based backgammon and chess tournaments. Bound together with great customer service, we focus on ensuring our players have a thrilling experience both online or offline.
