What has been the highlight of 2007 for the company and why?
Sun Bingo became the market leader in 2007, exceeding growth expectations. It saw 3,000 players at peak time (8pm-midnight). We introduced two new games, Cinco and Hamster Race, which are exclusive to Sun Bingo! Advertising on television was another highlight—the response was phenomenal.
What has been the worst moment of 2007 for the company and why?
There genuinely hasn’t been a ‘worst’ moment.
What has been the biggest win of the year by a punter on your site?
We had a £40,000 winner in July 2007: Sarah Cox won on Bingo 90. We have lots of winners, as Sarah said in The Sun (28 July 2007): “On average I win about once a month, anything between £40 and £400.
What makes your bingo site stand out from the competition?
The number of people playing makes it the best bingo website to play and chat. It has the best games and the best variety—we have six games.
How many staff does the company employ and where?
Currently 90, expected to grow to over 100 this year.
What do you have planned for 2008? What sort of year is it going to be?
A great one—receiving this award is a very good start! We expect to see more new players on Sun Bingo. We have just launched a brand new game last week; Battleships, which is about sinking enemy ships—a fun bingo game. It is already proving very popular with the players. We’re looking to launch another new game next month.
