What has been the highlight of 2007 for the company and why?
The highlight of 2007 for PinnacleSports.com has been the phenomenal growth of the company in new and emerging global markets. We feel this is in response to the ever increasing range of sports and bets offered by the company at odds worth up to 60 percent% better value than other bookmakers (who struggle to even match our range of markets let alone our odds). As a result, PinnacleSports.com now has active players from over 100 countries wWorldwide.
What has been the worst moment of 2007 for the company and why?
The failure of a home nation to qualify for the finals of Euro 2008, has to rank as one of the worst moments of 2007 for PinnacleSports.com, and the UK bookmaking industry in general. In particular England’s failure is a lost opportunity for us, and the entire bookmaking industry, which is predicted to lose out on an estimated £50million in revenue.
What has been the biggest win of the year by a punter on your site?
Our highest payout, for the lowest stake, was a player called GC who won $427,760.90 after taking down the progressive jackpot playing Pinnacle Stud Poker on a $1 ante bet at the PinnacleSports.com online casino.
One of your key selling points is offering the best odds—how do you consistently achieve this?
We are continually able to trade at lower margins than our competitors by following some fundamental guidelines. We start with relatively small limits as we build the market on any given game, moving the line quickly based on the amount wagered, until we reach the point at which we see two way action, i.e—when m. money is coming in on both sides of the game. At this point we will increase the limits and keep repeating this basic process to continually ‘sharpen’ our line to reflect the true market price, and hopefully achieve a balanced book, with the same amount wagered on both sides.
How many staff does the company employ and where?
Pinnacle Sports.com’’s head office is in Curacao, in the Dutch Antilles, where we are fully licensed and regulated by the Government of the Netherlands Antilles.
What do you have planned for 2008? What sort of year is it going to be?
In 2008, PinnacleSports.com will be entering the online poker market for the first time. We are excited to bring to online poker the same value proposition and rebates that we are able to offer existing PinnacleSports.com members in our sports book, race book and online casino.
As an Olympic year and with Euro 2008 kicking off this summer, we think 2008 is going to be a great year for sport as we look to expand the Pinnacle Price Advantage across an even broader range of sports and betting markets. At PinnacleSports.com we will continue to offer punters the assurance of fixed odds betting, with exchange- like pricing. As ever, unlike a betting exchange, PinnacleSports.com guarantees liquidity and never charges commission on winning bets.
