What has been the highlight of 2007 for the company and why?
CryptoLogic had a great year despite the challenges faced by losing 30 percent of our business as a result of the UIGEA. The year started out with a bang when we received the prestigious award for Best Casino Software from your esteemed magazine for the second year in a row. Another highlight was the way in which we were able to extend our leadership position in the branded games category with the extension of our exclusive partnership with Marvel and adding best-in-class games featuring the legendary Spiderman and the famed Fantastic Four to our slot portfolio. And I can’t forget to mention that the two largest jackpot wins ever awarded in online history came from CryptoLogic licensees this year: an $8 million winner from InterCasino and a $4 million winner at Littlewoods. Our jackpots are consistently of the highest value in the industry and as a whole we have awarded over $14 million in total jackpot prize money in 2007 alone.
What has been the worst moment of 2007 for the company and why?
The continued impact of the UIGEA legislation certainly took its toll on the company. Due to our licensees pulling out from the US, we experienced a significant loss in revenue and earnings. However, we were able to rebound from the impact by re-focusing our efforts throughout the EU and Asia, and are again a cash generative, profitable company positioned to thrive.
What makes your software stand out from the competition?
There are a number of factors that have positioned our software among the best in the industry. CryptoLogic offers the best branded games in the industry by signing exclusive partnerships with tier 1 entertainment brands like Marvel, Casual game brands like Bejeweled, Cubis and Jewel Quest, King Kong, Street Fighter II and Playboy. We also have the best jackpot offering in the industry, with the internet’s first 3-level progressive jackpot (Marvel), the jackpot that pays out more often than any other (Rapid Fire), and the jackpot that is consistently the largest (Millionaires Club). Other points include:

How many staff does the company employ and where?
We have 330 total employees worldwide with global offices in Ireland, Toronto, Cyprus, Singapore (CryptoLogic Asia Pacific), the UK, Malta and Vancouver.
What do you have planned for 2008? What sort of year is it going to be?
With several exciting new initiatives underway, 2008 is shaping up to be CryptoLogic’s most exciting year yet. One of the greatest achievements is our industry-leading branded games portfolio. We will continue the extension of this leadership position by releasing more Marvel games and other immensely popular titles such as Street Fighter II and King Kong. Additionally, we will look to improve our market position by increasing the number of online casinos that offer CryptoLogic software. Lastly, we remain committed to do all we can to exceed the needs and wants of our customers and their players.
